(hey, how do you pronounce that, anyway?)
Spoo was named after one of many delicious foodstuffs from the
Babylon 5 universe. Learn about the
fun-filled world of spoo.
Spoo's specs are:
- Kernel 2.4.x (changes more often than this page does...)
- Red Hat 8.0
- Intel Celery 300A CPU (OC'd
to 450 :)
- Abit BH6-2 motherboard
- 320M RAM
- It used to have an Exabyte Eagle TR-3 tape drive, but it sucked
so much that I took it out.
- ATI Mach64 video card
- NEC MultiSync XV17+ monitor
- SoundBlaster 16 Value PnP
- cheap NE2000 clone ethernet card
- Some cheap generic scsi interface card
- Quantum Fireball 3.1G SCSI-II hard drive
- 4G IDE drive
(data sheet)
- Sony 4x CD player
- Logitech Mouseman mouse
I plan to continue the "B5 Foodstuff" theme; my future machines will
be named:
- flarn: the Minbari stuff that looks like tofu.
- yokdri: Fried treeworm, eaten as a delicacy. (14/119, TKO)
- bayou (???): blue centauri jello (ATRCONHP, 64/320)
- orcha: Markab fruit. (32/210, GROPOS)
- jovian_sunspot: a bit long, but what the heck. (9/113, Deathwalker)
- antarean_flar: Unspecified delicacy. (5/108, Parlaiment of Dreams)
- benzan: Mollari household god of food. (5/108, Parlaiment of Dreams)
- brivari: Centauri drink. (39/216, Knives)
- taree: Narn alcoholic drink. (11/111, Survivors)
- treel: Centauri fish, eaten as a delicacy. (14/119, TKO)
- breen: Narn food, similar to swedish meatballs (62/318, Walkabout)
If anybody knows the proper names or spellings of the above, or of
more B5 foodstuffs, please let me know.
